Gerber Life eService and eBilling
Gerber Life Insurance Company is pleased to invite you to enroll in Gerber Life eService and eBilling, available on our website www.gerberlife.com. With your enrollment in Gerber Life eService, you have the opportunity to make specific changes to your account at any time.
Account information and services available through eService, include:
- Electronic Receipt and access to your Policy
- Paperless Billing Enrollment (eBilling)
- Automatic Payment Enrollment - Credit Card or Pre-authorized Checking (PAC)
- Ability to make single one-time payments
- Ownership Change
- Beneficiary Change
- Change of billing and payment schedule
- Updating contact information, including address, email address, telephone numbers
- Applying for and repaying policy loans
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USING THESE SERVICES.
Review the terms and conditions regularly, as they may change at any time at our sole discretion.
Your agreement:
By enrolling in Gerber Life eService:
- you acknowledge receipt of this notice concerning the operation of Gerber Life eService, and that you will receive your policy and Privacy Notice electronically, and
- you consent to receive and send information electronically regarding your policy and to effect changes to your policy electronically, and
- you consent to receive notices from us electronically, including, but not limited to, our annual privacy notices and other related materials, whether through your eService account, posting on our website or delivered by email, and
- you understand enrollment and participation is voluntary, and you may cancel at any time, and
- you acknowledge that your action in eService requesting policy changes constitutes your agreement to those changes
By enrolling in Gerber Life Paperless Billing (eBilling):
- you acknowledge receipt of this notice concerning the operation of Gerber Life eBilling, and
- you agree to maintain your eService account to enable Gerber Life to process eBilling on your policy, and
- you agree to provide and maintain a valid e-mail address within your eService account to facilitate our communication with you, and
- you consent to receive information electronically regarding premium notices for any policies enrolled, and
- you understand enrollment and participation is voluntary and optional, and may be cancelled at any time
Enrollment: Gerber Life eService, including eBilling, are voluntary and optional services; you may discontinue your enrollment at any time. Although Gerber Life eService will be available immediately upon enrollment, please allow up to two (2) billing cycles for enrollment in Gerber Life eBilling to take effect. You may also continue to have your policy serviced by paper or telephone while enrolled in Gerber Life eService, and you may receive paper copies of your premium notices if you cancel Gerber Life eBilling. Gerber Life reserves the right to change these services at any time.
Electronic payments: By submitting the necessary enrollment information through Gerber Life eService, you are indicating that you would like to have the opportunity to remit online payments for your policy using electronic fund transfers from your checking or savings account, or by debit or credit card. You will only be able to remit payments for Gerber Life Insurance Company products through drafts on a U.S. Bank.
Computer storage and printing: While using Gerber Life eService, you will have the ability to print policy and billing information, as well as the Gerber Life receipt of the change requests successfully submitted.
Corrections: When you request that Gerber Life make changes to your policy through Gerber Life eService, you will be given the opportunity to review all changes and to make any corrections before final submission.
Undeliverable electronic notifications: If Gerber Life determines that an electronic premium notice sent to you is undeliverable, we may, in our sole discretion, choose to mail the premium notice to you using United States Postal mail or other mail services and change your premium notice delivery method from eBilling to paper delivery via United States Postal mail or other mail services. If this occurs and you wish to continue receiving premium notices electronically, you will need to update the e-mail address you have on file within your Gerber Life eService account and re-enroll in the eBilling service. An undeliverable electronic premium notice will not change the policy premium due date or your obligations to make timely premium payments for any policy.
Paper copies: You may request a paper copy of your Gerber Life Policy, as well as any eService transaction document or premium notice by contacting us at 1-800-704-2180 or writing us at Gerber Life Insurance Company, 445 State Street, Fremont, MI, 49412.
Update contact information: You may update your contact information in the following ways:
- by making the change yourself directly within your eService account
- by emailing us at addresschange@gerberlife.com
- by telephone at 1-800-704-2180, or
- by writing to us at Gerber Life Insurance Company, 445 State Street, Fremont, Michigan 49412 (Attn: Customer Service).
Cancellation: You may cancel your enrollment in Gerber Life eService and/or Gerber Life eBilling at any time; however, doing so will not change (1) your obligations under any policy including, but not limited to, making timely premium payments for any policy or (2) the legal effectiveness, validity, or enforceability of electronic records that were made available to you prior to the implementation of your cancellation. If you cancel your enrollment in Gerber Life eService or eBilling, Gerber Life will deliver all premium notices to you using United States mail.

Note: Cancelling Gerber Life eService or eBilling may result in unavoidable processing delays of your account changes and premium payment submissions. Please allow up to two (2) billing cycles for enrollment or cancellation of Gerber Life eBilling to take effect.
Security: Gerber Life Insurance Company follows reasonable and regulatory required precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of electronic communications and information relating to your policy. However, we are not responsible for unauthorized access to Gerber Life systems, nor are we responsible for damages of any type caused by unauthorized access.
System requirements: To participate in Gerber Life eService on the internet, you will need a computer with a web browser that supports at least 128 bit encryption. You must also have the ability to receive and read e-mail as well as Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) attachments.
